FAQ'S 

Do I need permission to work on my tree? 

Trees can be protected by a tree preservation order TPO or if you live in a conservation area. You need permission from your local council, there our exemptions to this rule if a tree is dead, dangerous or dying. 

Can I cut back my neighbours tree? 

You can prune overhanging branches to your boundary line. Each tree would have be assessed and may need access to your neighbours premises. 

What if there if wildlife in the tree? 

Many wildlife habitats are protected under the wildlife and countryside act 1981 and the countryside and rights of way act 2000 which makes it an offence to kill, injure or take wild birds, their young, their eggs or nests.
